As Shabbat was coming in, the nurses told Adina that he is now able to breath on his own.

He's still in the ICU and on the breathing machine on and off to give him a rest. He hasn't woken up yet, but he's moving around a bit. He's taking about 20 breaths per minute but when the family sang Kabbalat Shabbat to him and when his friends from his army preparatory program (who spent Shabbat at the hospital) read from the Torah, his pulse and his breaths per minute rose.

The doctor said we should expect his state to go up and down, and not to get too excited or hopeful from this development, but it still feels miraculous and definitely worth sharing.
