We are in the ambulance on the way to Tel Hashomer to continue intense rehabilitation.

We arrived on Sunday 10 May for surgery the next day. Surgery was delayed until Wednesday. Wednesday night after the surgery Nathaniel had non-stop seizures so the staff sedated and intubated him. After extubation he got pneumonia. The antibiotics caused his platelet levels to drop and he needed three transfusions. Everything seemed to be back on track, but then he got pneumonia again. Suction and antibiotics took care of everything and we moved from ICU to the ward. He had appointments with a neuro ophthalmologist and then a rehabilitation optometrist. At this point there was no empty space at rehab so we waited a few more days until there was a space. So, in the end we finally made it out of the hospital.
