Nathaniel smiled for the first time after the attack!!!!!

His yeshiva hosted a party for him and invited friends and rabbis from his army unit. There was amazing energetic singing and dancing. Nathaniel was in the middle of the circle being pushed around by his caretaker while everyone was dancing around. All of a sudden, there was even more commotion. His caretaker motioned me to come over to see the signature Nathaniel smile. Well, it's actually half a smile because his right side doesn't work as well, but his bright white teeth were there and his lips were curled upward. His friends sent me the song that was being sung when he smiled so that we can see it again and have him practice. I have really missed seeing his smile.

This week we are going to Jerusalem to plan his cranioplasty surgery, which should be in December.

You made my day! Thank you for taking the time to bring people like me along on the journey. I doven for Natanel every day, and hearing this great news that he smiled, is making me smile, smile, smile. May we hear continued good news and may Natanel be inscribed and sealed for a fabulous year of full recovery of all his faculties. And may his parents and whole family be inscribed and sealed for life, good health, and all blessings.

Love from the Old City, Sara Yoheved Rigler
