Netanel continues to improve every day. He is starting to learn how to respond more than just yes and no. He is learning other hand symbols to indicate good, bad, and so-so.

An amazing thing happened on Tisha B'Av. While Netanel still receives his nutrition via a feeding tube, he is swallowing better and as part of his therapy is learning what to do when food is in his mouth. Netanel was told that it was Tisha B’Av yesterday. When it came time for his therapy session to relearn how to swallow and eat food, he indicated that he did not to do it. He has never said that he did not want to do this therapy, especially because he really likes this therapist. This reaction seemed to indicate that he understood that it was a fast day and he accepted that.

Netanel knows exactly what's going on. Incredible! He wants to fast even with all of his challenges mwhile i kvetch (silently) until the fast is over. He is such an inspiration! Hashem should watch over him and give us all the ability to appreciate life the way he does. We look forward to only good news. I know that's what we will get.
