Nathaniel's personality is showing more and more. He is actually smiling at jokes and can sometimes make a sound like a laugh. Swallowing is still challenging, but I think it is getting better. He definitely has food preferences, but sometimes he says he doesn't like something, but then eats it with gusto when we give it to him.

One of his caregivers pointed out that he lives in his apartment, but he does nothing for it. We prepare the Shabbat food and bring it over. So that we can call him the בעל הבית for ברכת המזון we have started to make challa each week. He is really getting the hang of it. Egg cracking is still a challenge and we are working with the occupational therapists to come up with a device that he could learn to use and be more independent.
