Lately we've noticed that sometimes when Nathaniel looks to the right, his pupil seems to stick there for a few seconds. I told everyone to start working more on eye exercises by making him look from left to right to move his eyes. The neuro-ophthalmologist wasn't worried because Nathaniel didn't seem upset by the "sticking", except for being a bit annoyed that he couldn't move the eye like he wanted. The neuro-optometrist was actually encouraged because she said she thinks that it is actually a sign that his nerves are "waking up".

The caregiver threw Nathaniel's ball across the room and instructed him to bring it back to him. Nathaniel wheeled over to the ball. He tried to bend down to get it, but he couldn't quite reach it. So, he got the attention of the caregiver by slapping his wheelchair armrest twice (with cues from the caregiver). He had to remember the many steps in the activity, but he reached his goal!

He was playing Connect Four with the caregiver. The caregiver tried to add a disk, but Nathaniel shook his head. He then showed the caregiver how he had already won (diagonally).
