Nathaniel went out for pizza with his caregivers after a therapy session. It was late, the caregivers said it was time to go home. Nathaniel shook head NO. They said again that it was time to go and started to move him. All of a sudden, Nathaniel grabbed the pizza box, quickly opened it, took a piece of pizza, and took a big bite. Well, they had to stay until he finished eating. When he had finished, he was ready to go home and left without complaining.
The speech therapist showed Nathaniel photos of family members and asked him to type who it was. She showed him a photo of me, and he typed (in Hebrew) "Judi". They had expected that he would write "Imma" (mother in Hebrew). On the tablet, the picture of me is labeled as "Imma".
Nathaniel was in his bed, and the caregiver was in another room. Nathaniel made such a loud vocal noise that the caregiver went to see what happened. It seems that Nathaniel called the caregiver to come to him. He has been using his voice more and more to get attention.
When laying on his back, Nathaniel can now move his right arm not just down, buy also down and a bit to the left.
When standing during physiotherapy, Nathaniel is getting better at shifting his weight from right to left. This is important for walking.
Nathaniel went to a standup comedy routine. He paid close attention the entire time and even laughed out loud with noise. He is audibly laughing more and more. It shows that he can modulate his breath.
