Nathaniel is sitting with more stability. We still must monitor, but he can sit on a therapy table without holding on to the seat all the time. While sitting, he can bend over to pick up his shoes on the ground. In a second activity, he can put his left leg over his right knee and put on the shoe. The therapist moves his right leg over his left, and he can put on that shoe. It is still amazing that he is so flexible, because a few years ago, he would never have been able to have his right leg moved like that.

As part of his occupational therapy session, he wheels over to the water filter machine, gets a cup, fills it will water, and wheels over to the table while holding the cup to serve the therapist. He seems proud that he can serve his guest.

Nathaniel has started to learn Israeli folk dancing. He loves music and moving to the beat. Now he is learning a series of movements so that when the music starts, he can dance. He dances using his upper body, head, and arm. He also uses his leg to move forward and backward in the wheelchair.
