Rosh Hashana was busy for Nathaniel. He went to shul, ate new foods, and enjoyed being with friends and family.
With the help of the occupational therapist, Nathaniel is starting to write with his right hand. He can't write without her holding his hand and directing him just yet. He also uses his left hand to open the fingers of his right hand and put the hand where it needs to be (like on the table).
Nathaniel seems to be "finding" his voice. He vocalizes often. He can't say any words yet, but he is on his way.
Nathaniel had a virus a few weeks ago, which probably caused him to have a silent seizure, which made him really tired and less responsive than usual. After a few days of him resting in bed most of the day, I said something like, "Darn, this is not good." Nathaniel responded by weakly snapping his fingers like "shucks". I think I also saw a twinkle in his eye. Before he got sick, the doctor had decided to start reducing one of the medicines that makes Nathaniel tired. While Nathaniel was resting after the seizure, the doctor decided to just stop it completely. So, now after the seizure, he is even better than before. He smiles much more and verbalizes much more.
Baruch Hashem! Natanel is amazing!!!
