Nathaniel still struggles with spasticity on his right side, but his spasticity is much less. He can’t move that side much but there has been improvement. The physical therapists have been concentrating on stretching and strengthening. He also has reflexology treatments. One night we were dancing and all holding hands. Usually, we just hold his left hand, but this time we could make a full circle and actually move his right arm. He can't move it much, but it is flexible enough that we can move it.
Nathaniel got a new wheelchair. It is less cumbersome than his past wheelchair. He is stronger, more coordinated, and better able to support himself. In this wheelchair he can unlock both wheels and move himself. He can move the wheel with his left arm and navigate his direction (right/left) with his left foot. As he gets more adept, it will give him more freedom.
We took him to the park and he "played soccer" with the neighborhood kids. When the ball came to him, he trapped it and then kicked it back to another kid.
