Wednesday, 13 May 2020, post-cranioplasty surgery

The surgery was supposed to be on Monday. We got to the pre-op room and waited. Finally the surgeons came out and said that the first surgery of the day had complications and Nathaniel would be delayed until Wednesday or Thursday. So we went back to the ward and waited until this morning. It was quite stressful.


Thank God all went well today. We got to the pre-op room and he actually entered the operating room. The surgery took longer than I had anticipated, but the neurosurgeons and plastic surgeons were pleased with how everything went. He's now recovering in the ICU for at least one night.
